Featured Skier! From Rice Lake, WI, Jennifer Simpson spends her summers in Burnsville, MN where she is a RN at Fairview Ridges Hospital, and her winters in Vail, CO. She writes, “I cannot imagine my life without skiing and ski instruction; both have truly enriched my life. As a PSIA Team Member I have the opportunity to help develop and share educational materials with instructors across the country. The people that I have met as an instructor and in my role as a PSIA Team Member are amazing and often inspirational. I was honored and humbled to be selected for the Team in 2008, and continue to feel this way as I start another four-year term. My primary goal in the next four years is to ski with as many of my fellow instructors as possible and to try and give back to the sport and organization that have given so much to me.”
"The Staff at SBF have been instrumental in optimizing my gear to improve my on snow comfort and performance."

Featured Skier! Robin Barnes may not have grown up skiing, but now she skis a LOT – about 300 days a year. A second-term member of the PSIA Alpine Team, she divides her on-snow time between Heavenly, California and Portillo, Chile, where she is the Ski School Director. As the first woman to hold that position, she oversees an international team of top-notch instructors. In the “off” season, Robin can be found riding her bike, she's learning to surf, and she loves studying languages.
Skiing on Head B2 boots this season, Robin has traveled from CA to VT in the past to have Greg make her footbeds. “Now I’m pretty stoked that I only have to travel as far east as Colorado to visit SBF,” Robin says and adds, “Whether the visit is to have boot modifications or to share an idea and get insight – the trip is always worth it!”
